**TL;DR:** Please add a native **ARM64 / aarch64** Linux build (deb + AppImage). The current Linux .deb, AppImage, and APT repo are all **amd64 (x86\_64) only**, so Tempest can’t run on ARM64 Linux workstations. ### The ask A native aarch64 Linux desktop build of Tempest — ideally both the `.deb` and the AppImage, and an arm64 APT channel. ### Why it matters ARM64 Linux developer machines are no longer niche: - **NVIDIA GB10 / DGX Spark** (Grace-Blackwell) — the box I’m on - **Ampere** workstations/servers - **Apple Silicon running Linux** (Asahi, VMs) - Raspberry Pi 5 and similar SBCs Tempest’s one-app, multi-protocol approach (SSH/SFTP/Kubernetes/RDP/…) is exactly what these dev boxes need, but there’s currently no way to install it natively. ### My machine - **Device:** NVIDIA GB10 (Grace-Blackwell) developer workstation - **Arch:** aarch64 / ARM64 - **OS:** Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS, kernel 6.17 (NVIDIA DGX OS) - **libc:** glibc 2.39 · libfuse present (for AppImage) - **Desktop:** GNOME on X11 · 121 GB RAM ### Questions for the team 1. Is an arm64 Linux build planned? Any rough ETA? 2. Is there a **beta/nightly** aarch64 build I could test now? 3. In the meantime, is there a supported way to run the current release on aarch64 (build from source, or a known-good emulation path)? 4. Does the CLI/agent component have an aarch64 build? Happy to beta-test and share logs/specs. Thanks for considering it! ---

Well, the desktop version worked , python error with the cli, great work !!! Error while installing package: trying to overwrite ‘/usr/bin/tempest’, which is also in package python3-tempest 1, ---

Awesome! The CLI error is due to a package conflict. If you don’t need ⁠python3-tempest⁠ anymore, you can try removing it, or using Storm AI to fix it for you XD
